A Web Content Manager (sometimes referred to as the department 网站管理员) will maintain a USA Unit's (see USA 网络策略 for definitions) information on the USA Web Server, serve as liaison to the University Webmaster and serve as a contact point for the 美国和互联网社区.
Each department or unit -- academic or administrative -- as well as other centers or authorized organizations is allowed to maintain a presence on the University's 网站. The unit must have an individual appointed as the key contact who is responsible 他们网站上的内容.  关键联系人既可以维护站点,也可以传递 编辑为具有访问CMS权限的授权用户.

By transitioning to the content management 系统 (CMS), an underlying goal for the University’s 网站 was to create a more uniform, professional look for all 页面s.  To help users in development of their 页面s, templates and other design elements (assets and snippets) have been designed and are available in the University’s content management 系统.  Each element has been tested and is mobile responsive for display of the 在平板电脑和手机上以用户友好的格式提供内容.  web内容管理器 should utilize these tools to develop 页面s for the organizational unit.  当编辑 assets, the web content manager should work with Web服务 if different functionality 是否需要确保兼容性.  请注意,如果内容不是移动响应 or does not display correctly, Web服务 reserves the right to remove it from the 大学网站.

It is very important that one individual in each USA Unit be responsible for its information. If a user notices incorrect information on a web 页面, an incorrect link, or has a suggestion for other information that might be useful, the user should be able to e-mail the designated person to make the correction or consider the suggestion.

There are two different 访问 levels a web user can be assigned – Webmaster and Reviewer.
